Publication opportunities associated with the 3rd GHI World Congress

We are pleased to announce special publication opportunities associated with the 3rd GHI World Congress in Konya, Türkiye. Two peer-reviewed journals will publish dedicated special issues showcasing research presented during the Congress as well as relevant contributions from the broader scientific community.

All manuscripts submitted within the specified deadlines and successfully passing the peer-review process will be published free of Article Processing Charges (APC). We warmly encourage congress participants and researchers to take advantage of these valuable publication opportunities.

Selcuk Journal of Agriculture and Food Sciences

Journal of the Congress host institution

The Selcuk Journal of Agriculture and Food Sciences will publish a dedicated special issue open only to congress delegates. It aims to showcase cutting-edge research and review papers presented during the Congress, as well as relevant contributions from the broader scientific community, in areas including (but not limited to):

  • Food safety and toxicology
  • Food quality traceability
  • Risk assessment management
  • Sustainability & regulatory science
  • Innovations in food processing and packaging

The journal is indexed in the Emerging Sources Citation Index, TR Dizin, and several other international indexing databases.

Editorial support
The special issue will be edited under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Ramazan Col and Assist. Prof. Dr. Esra Celik, with scientific oversight by the Co-Editor-in-Chief of the journal.

Peer-reviewed – indexed in Scopus, TR Dizin and other international databases

Another valuable publication opportunity for congress delegates is with Akademik Gıda (Academic Food Journal), a peer-reviewed scientific journal indexed in Scopus, TR Dizin and several other international indexing databases.

The journal publishes original research articles and review papers in the fields of food science and food technology, covering a broad range of contemporary topics relevant to academia, industry and regulatory science. Papers aligned with the scientific themes of the 3rd GHI World Congress and successfully passing the peer-review process will benefit from free-of-charge publication.

Çatalhöyük International Journal of Tourism Research

Peer-reviewed

Another publication opportunity for researchers working at the intersection of food, gastronomy, tourism, hospitality and sustainable food systems. The Çatalhöyük International Journal of Tourism Research, published by Selçuk University, Türkiye, is an international, open-access, double-blind peer-reviewed academic journal publishing original theoretical and applied research in English. Its scope encompasses tourism management, hospitality, gastronomy and culinary arts, recreation, cultural heritage and related areas of tourism research.

The journal publishes two issues per year, in June and December, and for the congress delegates will not charge submission or publication fees. All accepted articles are assigned a DOI. The journal currently lists EBSCOhost, Türkiye Turizm Dizini, Google Scholar, ResearchGate and Academia among its indexing and discovery services.

Researchers presenting work at GHI World Congress 2027 in Konya, Türkiye, 5–9 July 2027, whose research falls within the journal’s scope, will have an opportunity to consider the journal as a potential publication outlet.

The journal particularly welcomes research addressing contemporary challenges and developments in tourism, hospitality, gastronomy and culinary arts, including work connected to sustainability, food systems, innovation, consumer behaviour, cultural heritage and responsible tourism.

The journal maintains a rigorous peer-review process and has specific limits on issue capacity and institutional authorship. Each issue can publish no more than 10 articles, while papers authored by researchers affiliated with Selçuk University may not exceed 20% of the articles in an issue.

Researchers interested in this opportunity are encouraged to prepare their manuscripts in accordance with the journal’s submission requirements.
